Dr Ryan Charles Pink

Presently working as a Lecturer on the characterisation of non-coding RNA in cellular communication of blood development and cancer, mainly through in-house microarrays and RNA-Seq using primary and secondary cell models. At Brookes Ryan also has the responsibility of teaching laboratory practicals and running the cell culture facilities. His previous post-doc was at Cranfield University working on a €6 million development of nucleotide and protein based point-of-care breast and prostate cancer sensor, following on from a PhD there on mapping the molecular pathways for Oesophageal cancer in developing world South Africa caused by diet straight from MSc Medical Diagnostics. He also has additional training of Venepunture, NEBOSH H&S qualification and Public Genomic database training at Harvard University, USA. Ryan has several awards for public engagement working with the likes of the BBC and touring science shows and is a keen artist.
